Question Safe BOOST ??

hey ive been looking around and i just wanted to know what is the safest boost setting(on stock internals) some of yall have , ive looked around and found a few people around 11psi. and one at 13psi.
but is 13 psi pushing it?

There is no safe boost. It depends on turbo size , fuel management etc.... The point is one pound too many is a disaster. Make sure you know all the details before you decide on a BOOST NUMBER.

say u have the turbo,underdrive pully, P&P intake mnifold. turbo XS HRFL BOV stock internals could u run around 9 -10 PSI safely?

I think 8-9psi for someone not that experienced, up to 10 with 93oct. With VP or C16 maybe 14psi but the weakest link here they say its the rods. I personaly only did 13psi once daily 10.5.

IF it were an RRM kit, he wouldn't need to know. It would be all done for him!

56psi...but seriously, every turbo and setup is different...so its hard to pick a safe boost for all...

^ +1 he's right.

oh yeah as for the bov, i don't know about the chinsey lookin one that comes with the rrm kit but aftermarket bovs dont affect how much boost you can run, just how much boost the turbo system can hold, the engine is really limiting that more with the lancers right now.
