Just a little FYI, there are companies that make water cooled intercoolers. Just incase your worried about cooling ect. I plan on getting one when I go turbo instead of a plain intercooler, helps to keep the temps down to a minimum and at a stead temp. Just thought I would throw that in there plus they look more like a radiator then an intercooler also. Might want to look into those also for that extra sleeper lool.

yeah my friend had a water to air cooling setup on his vr6. the only thing is that it was very expensive for him to get that setup done. i heard that its more efficient to have water to air cooled but im concerned with cost most of all.

I'm asking because I want to know, not because I am being argumentative. Is that the butt dyno or did you compare your intake air temps before and after?

you can get some calculations for the temps here assuming you know the pressure you want to run and the efficiency of the intercooler
http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/intercoolers.htm

Currently i am running an upgrade of the evo 8 intercooler (same as stock but thicker) for low boost daily driving. When I crank the boost up my water injection does the rest. Air/Air intercoolers are less efficient than Air/Water but in the end you don't have to go thru all the hassle of installing waterlines and an electric pump and a water cooler to the front of the vehicle in addition that the current draw from this kits is amazing. Water/Air intercoolers are most recommended for drag applications.

my friend has an 12 second starion, and he just converted his windshield washer jets into the intercooler water cooler, he has them aimed perfectly and fills the container with water and ice , and water and dry ice , it does cool down his intercooler noticably....it's a cool idea I think.....

i want it to where people cant see it unless they really look for it.
This intercooler is an used Evo 8 intercooler. It is a great performer and it is big enough for any turbo aplication. I picked mine for $125 or $150(used), that is a smoking deal and I think you should do the same.

Good luck!

Carlos

I saw on diy tv a dodge neon (srt4) with a co2 spray kit for his intercooler. Talk about an advantage!
