Im wanting to do a black out on my car and was wondering what would be the best why to go about painting my intercooler? and keep inmind if powdercoating isnt an option, how else can i go about it?

 

Swain Tech Coatings offers a non-insulating, satin black coating for intercoolers. Its called BBE. According to one of their tech guys (no pun) its supposed to increase efficiency about 6 %. I'm waiting for mine to be shipped back.

 

if you wanna just rattle can it, make sure you spray at an angle.. try not to get to much paint deep into the core of the intercooler.. the painted surface will not transfer heat as efficiently as a bare surface... angle angle angle

 

if anything, use radiator paint.

Use the radiator paint. it holds up nicely. and will help with the cooling effect...
