Ralliart Evolution Project

As many people have heard, i have researched and i am swaping out the 4g69 ralliart engine and tranny with the Evo VIII 4g63 engine and drivetrain . Thanks to diavlo and his srtong research, The wife and I have agreed on adding the awd. This project is taking place in end of winter early spring, as i am still gathering more parts and that is when i get time off. As well we will be adding the accolade evo IX kit. (looks better than rrm's) I believe this will be the first ralliart to have a 4g63 awd! And we were just gonna make it fwd at first but after thinking it over, there would be way too much wheel hop and the wife wants awd!

As some of you know there are no evo's here in canada (except the rare legal 15 ones) so this is my replica that i will take much pride in. so if you have comments please do not say... its not worth it and to go buy an evo!

This is my dream and i know how much im spending which is not alot

Mods please leave this thread open as i will be documenting the entire project once i start. There will be photos and possibly video footage .

if anyone has any comments or questions just post up and ask. please no negativity cause it is quite easy and very possible!

I look forward to seeing how it goes, good luck and take lots of pictures I'll do what I can to keep the "just buy an Evo" comments out of here.

Sounds awesome. In my opinion though, the 4g69 has more potential then a 4g63, the only upside to a 4g63 would be the support for it. IMO.
But all the power too you
Good luck!

well i was thinking of just turboing the 4g69 but when it all comes down to it, there are sooo much more parts availabe for the 4g63. so there will be much more improvements i can make for hp/tq. the ralliart is more limited for what u can do. the engine was gonna be easy but now that i've decided to go awd, it will take more time.

as for my engine... i will be selling it complete along with the ecu, wiring harness. also the cai, udp, fuel tank. etc. basically all the parts i take off and swap over will be for sale.

well I'd be interested in the block alone when you get it out so just give me a pm if you're interested when you get on with your project. (I'm only interested in the block though)
Thanks!

thanks again, and when i take the engine out i will pm u if ya want it!

right now i am looking for a evo VIII, (entire car) with a salvage title. for that is what i will buy, for the engine and awd. dont care about the body or anything else. if anyone knows of one for sale let me know.

i did have a wtb. thread for the engine but since my plans have changed, (adding awd) i am going in this direction.
