he wants to see what the car would do with no boost at WOT I suppose. it likely would start to choke out as soon as you got into the boost portion of the map.

what is your boost creeping up to, and is it creeping up slowly or shooting up all of a sudden?

With no WG you will not make any boost - don't worry.
Pull it off and just leave an open pipe.
The ECU/Piggy won't dump in loads of fuel since there will be no boost to reference from.

Where is your mechanic in all this? These are basic turbo fundamentals.

To elaborate on Dan's question;
If it's overboosting (just keeps rising rapidly) then the WG is NOT opening.
If it just spikes up then settles down you have a lazy WG (bad signal) or faulty boost controller.
If it makes (7psi) then slowly creeps up as you increase rpms, the downpipe is too large.

The best thing IMO about Defi control unit there is a record option. So it records the activity of all the gauges I think up to 3 minutes so I don't have to keep over boosting so people believe me.

Adam is that recorded log played back in real time? It looks sped up.

Since you say everything is hooked up fine there is only one explanation.
Boost Creep in the higher gears is usually caused by a WG that is too small or an O2 housing (downpipe) that is too large.
Are all those parts RRM pieces?

You mentioned in another post you removed the 7.5psi spring. If so, what are you using?
Also, remove ANY boost controller you have hooked up. Just run the pressure signal from the charge pipe directly to the SIDE port and confirm it's routed this way.

See this:

This looks like an internal wastegate problem. I know my friend with Talon had boost creep like this. But RRE kit is externaly gated, right?

yes, but there are "known" issues with the design of the manifold, including but not limited to wastegate placement. also, boost creep is prevalent with RRM's kit. it's been suggested that the root cause is too large an exhaust, no one who has experienced boost creep with the RRM kit has tried to do anything about it though very few have has this much of a problem with the RRM kit.

Yea, looking at the picture of the kit I see that WG placement could be bit of a problem. Does he have a 3" exhaust? Between these two things it could cause the creep. I've seen it before.
