So we got it fixed ! Sent the manifold over to a machine shop they grinded like mad went through the side of the manifold and had to re-weld it. So with the wastegate tube ported and a bit of exhaust blocked i'm now boosting a much safer 6 PSI "rock solid" . I had a chance to drive it on the highway lets just say before you know it your at very high speeds.

I will be posting a new thread hopefully a much happier one with pictures and possibly a video.

i'm reworking my rrm kit, eliminated 5th injector by switching to WRX injectors, new turbo as the 16g just aren't reliable, and reworked all of my tubing, cleaner looking and less a tangled mess. just have to install the new turbo and tune and we shall see where we sit.

Seems a lot of people are having trouble with the EVO 3 "GT" china model thats why I went with the MHI not only that but it was actually way cheaper.

Our kits use real Mitsubishi turbos. Canucks problems stem from other stuff he did. We talked about it a while back.

What are you using for a engine management when you replace the 5th inj? from what have been reading and talking to a few turbo designers the 5th will lean out over time as the LTFT will be off and by not going into boost untill about 3500rpm it will take months for this to occure.....but it will happen. Again if I am wrong here please let me know.....just hard to fguer it all out and I am not interested in hearing form a turbo kit bulider (for profit) I want to hear from people that have all kinds of different turbo set ups....does the 5th really work long term??? there is a guy here in Ottawa that has one that he built and from what he says the stock ECU is very difficult to trick.....

5th injector doesn't lean out over time for sure. If anything it isa more reliable add on that allows for the benefits of stock while still boosting. 16Gs are reliable too. Only failures ever seen were related to install issue or oil supply problem. Need to say that for the record.

Yes like 90% of all turbo failures are due to oil either lack of or something in the oil.
