Turbo Project!!!!
oye jorge voy pa turbo tambien y me gustaria saber donde hicistes el manifold y cuanto te salio...ademas de pal de dudas con el fuel y management system...porfa si puedes mandame tu cel por inbox o algo asi ya q no te veo por las flores...
thats not fair... we cant understand that
Im using stock wrx injectos modified by agency power and yes they are top feed.
with the fic you can control the maf map on percent mode and it is easy to tune plus no limp mode
the only problem im encountering is some kind of boost cut, it may be some kind of sensor i have to get rid of or a vacuum line going some were from the manifold but i have to check on that, to lazy to do it now do any of you guys have an idea????
the car is running at 13.4psi 347whp and 311wtq..... but no good with that boost cut thing or what ever it is

nice project glitv,
ok, i have 04 ralliart 2.4 mivec and i am going for turbo
the question is:
1- the goal is only 6-7 psi with t3/t4 on full stock engine.. if i use a piggyback like megasquirt for controlling the Injectors only and leave the ignition and the other sensors for the stock ecu? is every thing will be ok? or the boost will make errors on the stock ecu and make problems with the drive-by-wire throttle, ignition, etc...?
2- the fuel rail must be replaced ? or i can use it for this amount of boost? and why i put the MAF after the turbo not before?shall i block-off the EGR system?
thanks alot for helping and sorry for the many questions, i want ur experience in this case because i am already bought the hardware turbo kit and going for this way even on extra injectors

well first you can't just control the injectors with the a mega, if you use a megasquirt take advantage of it and make it stand alone other wise make a return fuel sistem with 450cc or 550cc injector and it will work perfectly with the psi you whant. Because by time, the stock ecu will regulate the AFR to what it is program to, example if the stock N/A AFR is 14.5 at WOT and you at turbo are doing 11.3 AFR then the stock ecu will change its own fuel value to make the AFR 14.5.
Or just get the rrm turbo piggy they say it works and it doesn't change the fuel values don't know about that cuz I had the N/A rrm piggy for fuel control once and by time it change my AFR.... But RRM say that it works with no problem
the fuel rail must be replace if you do a return system... you can use a evo aftermarke fuel rail its bolt on and at good price on ebay...
you have to put it after because if you dont use a resirculated system the engine will shut off cuz the maf reads the air coming in not the air coming out cuz of BOV. so if you put the MAF before then the MAF won't know the air coming out and it will still be throwing the same amount of gas, making the engine super rich and shut off.. So if you put it after the Maf will read the right amount of air and the engine won't die cuz of to rich.
you don't have to block the egr cuz at WOT it doesn't do anything
hope you understand and it help you....

yes u help me and i understand , thanx
but there is ONE point only i didn't get it in this car, or more specifically the ecu, i make research for this engine stock managment and i notice that everyone say that the ecu fight and make everything to adjust the afr to the 14.5:1 .
ok that's good words, but i want to say first the idea of the megasquirt as controlling the fuel, it doesn't hack the ecu injectors and re-tune the duration , i just remove the injectors wires from the stock ecu and connect the injectors directly to the mega to full control it, in other simple word, it's a stand-alone FUEL management with it's own's controlling fuel maps (if i leave the ignition to the stock)
Ok, after all that, how can the car ecu adjust the fuel -afr- although it doesn't touch the injectors? or it is very smart ecu that it can electronic regulate the fuel pressure in the fuel-rail to adjust the fuel?
ok, in case i trick the ecu by mega and force it to read 11:1 afr , will it be angry and throw many errors to the sensors? and shut the fly-by-wire throttle?and in case i use stand-alone for fuel, can i throw the maf without harming stock ignition timming?
agian thank u for helping
