Very close, the MAF, stands for MASS AIR FLOW

Oh and heres an interesting tidbit on those, if slightly off topic, never use MAF sensor cleaner on Mitsubishi MAF's. I dont know why. The lastr can I bought specifically listed only the Mits as a definate DO NOT USE. Perhaps it eats the plastic. I got dumb and sprayed mine before reading the can, and lost about 2-3 mpg. SOooooo, I'd suggest not doing it.

Yeah that seems to be the best and easy way as far as hardware goes... The trick will be fuel management...

As for me ill be using the RRM turbo piggyback and get it tuned for my set up specifically with the hardware cd. Hopefully that will do the trick. We will see.

Will the timing control device add any benefits? Maybe with the AEM cam gear.

Do you know of a tuner that feels comfortable with the splitsecond software? That's been my problem most of the tuners I talk to suggest a standalone / haltech etc.

in Puerto Rico friends of mine are using Micro Tech and Megasquirt....according to a PR forum i was reading they are really similar in a lot of specs and the Megasquirt is way cheaper...but honesty i'm just running an FMU...BUT the downside of the FMU is that my MPG is not the best and the A/R is @ 10.2 which is too rich...but there hasn't been any issue with the car EXCEPT for the idle which was having some trouble...the car was shutting off, or the revs went down to 2 o 3 hundred RPM or it randomly just revs itself up to 1500 RPM...and the issue was that the throttle was extremely dirty and air just coudn't pass through it... ...now NO issues so far...planning on moving the battery to the trunk, bigger I/C, voltage stabilizer, AEM CAM GEAR, and wiseco forge pistons with eagle rods...this last one coming on december...
