List of stuff to run Forced Induction
Hello all
THe trick to tuning a N/A car with an aftermarket turbo setup..is 2 simple things....more fuel..obviously...but more important TIMING...as the engine goes into boost IE past zero on the boost gauge you will need to start adding fuel and reducing the spark advance.....
Larger injectors need to be trimmed fuel wise in the vaccume portion of the fuel map so it does not just run pig rich.....
You alll forgot some other very important basic things you will need after you have gathered all your turbocharger-exhaust manifold-downpipe-wastegate...if you choose to go external gate..pipe work and connectors clamps an innercooler- diverter valve-
A BOOST GAUGE...to monitor boost level
the single most important thing after that....which is the only thing that will keep you from destroying you engine/ your fun/ and your wallet......
A WIDE BAND AIR FUEL GAUGE......no not a stupid narrow banf AF gauge you wire into your stock 02 sensor...those things are certin to help you destroy your engine.......
Im formerly from the VW world and aftermarket turbo setups are the only way to make the things get out of there own way...
Head flow is not this engines problem...whoever says that never worked with a crappy head design......
Take my 2.0 8v engine..113 crank hp stock...they dyno out at 88 or 90 whp...
pretty damn sad......a chip tune with 440 injectors will net 200 whp at or near 13 psi stock compression......drop the compression by stacking head gasgets and adding head studs (yes i said stacking head gasgets..the same tune will get you 270-280 whp....that tune ends there........
add a tunable system weather its stand alone or piggy back setup to controll timing and fuel curves... a better camshaft 320whp....on pump gas on a hurt engine...read 2 pistons with melted ring lands.....that was at 24 psi....i have friends running 360whp on that engine.. pump gas with meth injection...
the secret is the tune.....if the rods dont break i see this engine going 400 whp without much problem detonation is the game ender....thatw what kills every turbo engine....well except for a 1.8t vw...those stupid things rip conecting rods in half at 300 whp....weak sauce to be sure..
Ok enough shouting from on top of my soap box....
Oh and your stock clutch will hate you pretty quick after you start adding power.........
Sunshine, timing isn't that important on the ralliart tune - subject to what year your ECU is. For some unknown reason certain years and certain market ecus run a lot more timing than others. In any event they are tuned for regular fuel and can tolerate some boost based on the stock extrapolations which are quite conservative once the airflow goes beyond the expected stock numbers. Fuel is the real killer on these things because the ecu has a lot of protection schemes built in and it runs closed loop based on throttle position, not airflow. So part throttle full boost and the computer tries to lean out to 14.7. Not so good...
I'm going on vacation next week and hopefully I'll get a chance to finish up this tuning software while I'm sitting in the Florida sun

hey guys im looking to tubo my 2006(my07) ch lancer (australian model) it uses the 2.4L 4g69 will i be able to use your flash tune on this model or will it only work for the ralliart ecu? the ecu may even be the same im not too sure..
also where can i get the map sensor and 440cc injectors?
thanks
also where can i get the map sensor and 440cc injectors?
thanks
there are some forum guys working on a flash tune but i think its still int the early stages from what i understand, other option is to get a piggyback ecu which alters values of the stock without it knowing
i have a set of 440cc wrx light blue injectors that i got off ebay that i was going to use for my build but doesnt seem to be happening, lol
map sensor, dont know,
also check out evolutionoz and mogwa for more australia related material

also is there a specific cc injectors you have to use or can you use any size bigger than stock?
would these work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STi-P...item2eb1f2914c

550cc and a 3bar map, I can get you a good price drop shipped form our sensor dealer no secret here is omni power pm me or email and i can get you a good price....ok i think the secret is out sort of but we have teamed up with RIPP superchargers and there will be a group buy in the spring and once all the details are worked out we will become vendors and get this rolling......

Brent seriously....you need to start a whole new thread about this. No dropping fillers on other threads...
You can also use the JDM STI injectors. they are the 565cc pinks. Top feed. Direct bolt on. You can find them super easy on ebay, or any subaru forum for like 150-200 dollars. The JDM pinks are the highest cc of the direct bolt on plug and plays. It's what i'll be using on my kit once i re-do the fuel system.
