My best guess it Kamikaze used a 4-1 design and this adapter kit goes 1-2-1. Meaning 4-1 header to a 1 pipe adaper that becomes 2 then the Dp that goes back to one.
hrm.. I dont think u do understand.. not to sound rude but are header gose from 4 into 2 pipes thus the 4-2 header. Not untill after the header at the down pipe merges from 2-1 pipes. Stock header is not a 4-2-1. Its a 4-2 header. 2 pipes exit the header. I think making a 4-1 header would be a step backwords! This is just my own opinion

/\ i totaly disagree with this a 4-1 header will help with higher rpm #'s
and i think what he is refering to as a 4-2-1 is the header and down pipe and basically makiing a 4-1 would be the header and down pipe as one
4 different pieces of tubing into one right before the cat. im preatty sure this is waht he is talking about

I dont think thats what he ment. If it was It would be a friest because are down pipe is about 5 foot long with the header! There would be no room for 4 pipes to run side by side that far. Allso there would have to be like 4 flex pipes your idea is very impracticle. That would allso affect the cars weight. that thing would be like 70lbs.. lol..

Good Call.. RRM knows whats up. If they say all we need is a down pipe and to keep the stock header. I say do so I didnt mean to sound rude. sorry if I did.

Not rude, true. The stock manifold is a header in design. Get it temp coated and get the RRM downpipe. You will not regret it.

technically couldn't you always have someone make a custom flange? I wonder if RA's use the same cats and have the same legnth header. Then you'd also have to deal with engine placement, etc but it's quite possible as the downpipe should theoretically be in the same place with the body styles being the same.
