headers

i got them two weeks ago. When first installed the downpipe was rubbing the cross member or whatever you call it. They bent my pipe right after the 2nd. cat and problem solved. I left my 2nd. cat on but backwards 1,000 mile later still no check engine light.

I have the MIL and it works! I bought mine about 4 months ago, and never had to bend anything...no problems what so ever.

I bought and installed the headers not that long ago. Had problems with it rubbing against the frame, but just modified some hangers and I was all set. No problem.

You can do your own MIL for 2 dollars...

Here is the circuit... exact same as in MIL eliminator:

i bought mine back in sept...CEL is still on up to now...i bought the Eliminator....but it didn't work...i'm thinking maybe i spliced it wrong....and i was impressed with the gains i got via the kamikaze headers...but..a buddy of mine bought the rpw 1 piece headers and they not only look better but when i drove his they feel so much faster then mine...he actually beat me by half a car length and his 1/8th mile time was consistently 9.5-9.7...and i am a much better driver than he is. and my 1/8th mile times are 10-10.2

I've kind of come to the conclusion modding your lancer is kind of a mute point, im pissed that i've wasted like 1000$ on bolt - ons when i could just saved up a little more went turbo and have a fast time, instead of spending 1,000$ and still have a .5 second better time ...

just to let every body know. I got my headers and installed it myselt. it was a little time consuming but very easy. exept the fact that i have a little exhast leake, the rest is perfect. the check enging light never came on and I already put like 600 miles on my car since after the header. the sound is beautiful and the most imortant part is the performance. my friend has a 95 civic ex with headers down pipe, injen intake, catback. he used to beat me by like 3 cars. now with my headers i beat him by 2 cars. so the performance is just crazy. thanks robert for the great deal on the headers.
kamikaze rocks

this is a belated question. i got the kamikaze headers installed due to the fact that i dont have time to install it myself, and besides that i was just too excited. ok, so after i test drove it i knew the sound would be louder, and it is, but when it starts going to the high end about to change gears (automatic mind you) it makes a loud hissing sound, like if you get to electrical wires and touch them- the spark noise it makes. it just hisses like that until it changes gears then goes away. what the hell is that noise? could it be something loose, the guy bolted it tight enough he said. so i dont know what it is. it cant be natural-it sounds waaay to ugly to be natural. well all info appreciated.
