Tested it on the Highway yesterday, it made it so easy to reach 80mph and keeps giving without downshifting. It really gave it a good high end power. But yeah, I think im leaking also after that good run, nothing else seems to bother me other than that. Maybe its the gasket that came with the Kamikaze header that connects to DP. I dont trust that thing the minute i saw it. Im gonna have it fixed once and for all. When it Leaks=weird loud sound.

pgmike - your crazy if you think a 3.25" catback is going to be quiter than that, if you have it all open with a kamikazi header.

you will mots likely get a ricey sound as well. I had a magnaflow muffler on before this muffler and it sounded 100X worse, ask anyone who had heard it before this new muffler.

I am also interested in getting these headers with my Tax Return money. I have the Injen CAI, Test Pipe and Greddy Cta Back. The Greddy has a resonator on it so I am hoping it doesn't sound too loud. What do you guys think?

how am i supposed to know what u mean or not? take it easy pal.

If you have a resonator it should be fine, its just the fact that its all open pipes that makes it so loud.

If you keep your cat in there, and you have a resonator... you'll be ok. Fact is the more you open up the exhaust the louder and "ricier" it'll sound. Unless you get it completely open with a tuned exhaust.. then it'll sound like a sport bike .

But anyway.. the point is... you are battling 4 cylinder here... to some extent you have to accept that it will sound the way it will sound because of the displacement etc. But the best way to do things is to simply keep the catalytic in place, and have a resonator. Then you'll be as quiet as you can without sacrificing too much.

ok update!!!!...i took my car to midas to have it checked for exhaust leaks, and guess what...I lost 2 out of 3 nuts (header to downpipe connection)...thats why it makes weird noises and hisses when I back up. My buddy also had the same problem after he took it for a test drive on the highway...problem was, we didint put pressure washers on each nut, also the nut that came with kamikaze is way to small, get bigger nuts and pressure washers and you should be all set...still observing for more problems to come.

to the original question: recieved and installed my kamikaze header. no fitment issues at all. top portion, and downpipe of the header fit perfect (hangers, connections). the ONLY thing that needed to be replaced were the bolts connecting the top portion to the downpipe. as Punk8981 stated, the nuts that the bolts came with, did not fit. and pressure washers are definantely recommended. its really not a big deal at all though. just run to your local auto parts place, and buy replacements for a buck or so. other than that....... i love the added power/top end. definately worth the money.

^well technically speaking you wont need new bolts. you'll probably need new nuts for the bolts the header comes with (the nuts dont fit.... they're the wrong size threading). also another good idea is to definately add some pressure washers. using the nuts alone will cause the bolts to come loose after driving for a couple days.

The nuts do actually fit. They are lock threaded though. At least the ones I had were. They will thread on about 4 or 5 turns before binding up. After that they are difficult to turn but will go all the way on, and you'll notice the threads are still in good condition (not chewed up like there was a wrong size nut). That prevents them from coming back off. I have had no problem with mine at all. But I'll double check tonight, I have about 2,000 miles on so far.

Later.

Steve
