Thumbs up just installed the rrm piggyback

i just got back home from a drive after i installed the piggyback from rrm, and let me say, HOLY ****. what a difference!!!!! the install was so easy too. for anyone debating on whether or not to buy the piggyback....BUY IT, you'll love it!!! i will probably be going to get it dyno'd again sometime within the next month or so. i'm sure it made a huge difference in power (definitely feels like it anyway).

i didn't dyno my car after i installed the downpipe, but it made a pretty good difference in the higher rpm's. you will definitely notice. the sound isn't the greatest, but the power you gain from it makes you forget about the sound. at least in my opinion.

A couple guys thus far have had a resonator put into their exhaust after the downpipe. It makes the car sound a lot better/meaner if you ask me. You should check into that. One guy had it done for 50 bucks including labor/resonator.

Glad to hear you were satisfied with the piggy... it's a great mod.

you can tell the difference when you have the downpipe on.. it gives you more mid and high end power..i had a resonator put on after i got my downpipe put in..it sounds pretty sweet..loud and really mean.

compared to the stock tires they're great. that's not saying a whole lot though.

Did they modify the downpipe to do this OR did they modify the stock mid pipe? The mid pipe has a resonator like 10" from the down pipe so I was trying to figure out what you mean.

I believe they cut out the stock resonator and replaced it with a long magnaflow style one. All i can say is it greatly improved sound and didn't effect the performance at all from what i felt.

I always dislike modifying the stock pieces. Couldn't they install the resonator into the downpipe?

Sure but then your hurting your ceramic coated pipe... maybe just have a custom catback made and install the resonator then?

corrected to RRE

Already done, with a DIY resonator from RRE, which might I add is junk. Spend the money on a magnaflow one. I have more weld on that resonator than the rest of the exhaust. I also added support brackets on each side of the resonator to make sure it won't pull it self apart again. I am sure now it will be fine.
