well if u could get the head on there and working then that would open up all evo head parts and manifolds, also the g69 shares some evo block parts rods/ bolts and other things we alredy know so you would be making a 2.4 hybrid 4g motor witch i think would be awsome.

cc = cubic capacity you would go from a 2.4lt engine down to a 2lt -

I have a friend that put the from a b16 on his d16 civic. For those of you unfamiliar with Honda engine codes the b series is DOHC while the d series is SOHC. Everything worked great with his head swap.

Great info in this thread!! Amazing that it is almost 4 yrs old and still hanging around. Now that the 4G69 is alil older now we're seeing more people using these internals and seeing what this engine is capable of. As a 4G Eclipse owner this place has such a wealth of information in place for us to use as we start to go beyond the bolt ons and progress futher into our modifications of this fine motor.

Hey guys the next 2 parts im ordering to tackle the 4g69 bottom end is the balance shaft eliminator kit and some race bearings. I know this parts from an evo will fit our car. My question is WHERE can i find good race parts that'll handle high horsepower abuse... I saw a real good balance shaft at AMS, and a cheaper one at RRE. But i have no idea where to find bearings at.

any help on finding race evo bearings to put in our 4g69? thanks

Well i talked to my mechanic about 5 minutes ago on the phone... i personally need to purchase the balance shaft eliminator, so i'll do that in a few weeks. But the mechinist who is doing the boring and all the head work is going to be the one doing the bearings. All he needs to know is which BRAND i want, and he will get them from his store, most likely at a decent price/discount.

so since u guys are saying cosworth is the go-to brand, im gonna tell the mechinist to go w/ that brand, and whenever the machine work is done, he'll order them for me.

but as of now, i need to get some money together for the BS eliminator. I'm getting the AMS one, that one looks NICE.

thanks so much for the help
