What is important about this is that if a big name company starts makin some parts for us others will follow... and with the new eclipse we can expect some advancement in aftermarket support...

I am going out on a limb here seeing as I have not even seen the 2.4lt yet... RPW here in Australia is looking at doing headers for the cars here to suit this car in the next month or so, I will be one of the first people that is queing up to buy this car as soon as it is released and the same day that I get the car I will be dropping it off to them to test fit a new set up to the car... I am expecting the results to be good, it may not come in the form of huge hp gains but more in the form of better torque

I think you have to look at overall mods and how they all work together to get you the best results in my experience it is not one single mod that will create a super car it is always a chain of mods that are designed to work together that will give you the super car

sorry for rant just my 2cents

I think that the $$$ to HP ratio for headers may not be worth it...

Still, the thought of "anything can be improved" just linger in my head. The reason why companies like DC Sports or Kamikaze haven't made one was because of demand. I told them the demand is there... we just need a test fitted car. I don't know much about our stock header... but how good is it? Do you think a race header by DC sports would actually perform worse, equal to a stock RA header? I mean, even 10whp is good.. and better than stock. More than just a 4-1 or 4-2-1, I would like a race header... which is significantly better than other headers.
so what happed with the header thing?

Michael,

As of now DC Sports has put its plans for developing a header system for the
Mitsu 2.4L Lancer Ralliart on hold to focus on other endeavors. It is not
clear at this time whether or not DC Sports will continue the development of
this system in the future. I have added your contact and vehicle info to
our list of project vehicle contact information. You will be the first that
we call if/when we resume development. Thank you for your generous offer to
loan DC your car. Hopefully we will work together in the future.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Thompson
Mechanical Engineer
DC Sports and Fabrication, LLC.

Well, looks like it's a no go (for now). Im still waiting on word from kamikaze. Also, im going to contact Megan Racing to see if they will make a race header for the ralliart. There headquaters are located in La Puente, Ca. I was viewing there site last night and see they make headers for the Kia Rio, WTF... . After seeing that, they better make one for us...!

Today on my lunch break, i called Megan Racing. I spoke to a guy name Steve in the R&D department. He said, they don't take loan cars, but the actually part that needs to be made IE: "Header". He wouldn't tell me that actually time length he'll need the header for, but the process of making a header (he explain to me) sounded like it could take 2weeks maybe 3. After that, he'll test fit the prototype header on my car, if everything fits, i get to keep the header and than from there he'll start final productions/shipping on the race header for our car.

Any other companies you guys want me to call that are located in so cal? Also, still no update from kamikaze yet.

ask steve to contact marco at billet design about the header design, if Megan still outsources their design work. Marco designed Megan's Evo header and its about there only megan header of good quality. I have many local friends with 450+hp evos using that header. The honda/accura ones are known to crack due to poor design by some lame socal shop. I talked to Marco about it already and he has actually talked to Megan about it. I could test fit on the dev side before the prototype gets sent to Megan (which they would send to China to have mass-produced and would then recieve a mass-production prototype). If they are gonna do it, i would like to seem them do it right =)

^^^ ill call him tommorow and ask,

Meanwhile, I have a friend that is running a JRRH on his type-s. He told me to email them and so I did, here is the response back:

Thank you for your interest in our line of products.

I regret that we do not make anything for the Mitsubishi line of vehicles.

Your specific question was "could we" and the answer to that is yes, we
could, but we don't and have no plans to do so.

Good luck with your search!

So the search continues...
