CAI or SRI

I live in Florida so when it rains, it pours. Seeing how I have an auto RA and the Injen intake hangs way low, should I get a SRI or convert the Injen to SRI to make sure it's outta the rain?

You can do CAI, like I did, just use a AEM bypass with it. Where I live (Michigan) the roads flood all the time, and I haven't had any water problems with my engine.

I have the injen CAI. Today I drove in quite a bit of rain and large puddles for about 2 1/2 hours....long story short, got home and checked my filter and it was dry. I have the heat shield installed on it aswell to help cover the filter and protect it from water below. I also kept my splash guards on, except for one vertical piece that the instructions say to cut a hole in. Unless you plan on driving in water up to your headlights, your probably fine, and you don't need the AEM bipass.

I get a lot of rain in RI, but not a lot of puddles. Would I be alright with the RRM CAI or am i better off with the injen w/ the bypass?

Also, does the CAI void the warranty or will I have to switch it out before I go to the dealership?

it depends how picky your dealership is. i would have to say be safe and put the airbox back in when u taking it in for any type of maintance.

What does the AEM bypass do? I have seen quite a few threads mentioning it's use but no one has yet explained what it does. I understand the word bypass so I guess I am looking for a more graphic description of what the part does and how it does it. Thanks.

AEM bypass

Keeps water from getting in the engine from the Intake. Lots of water in intake = big problem
