Update on RPW Ralliart Model Products
the 4g92 that is referd to there is another job they were doing, which is why they havent dont any work on the 4g69 this week, they are picking that up again soon. that was my understanding anyway
That is correct I was just letting people know some of hte things we have just finished and how well they respond to those mods. Imagine 5% throttle and already at 4500 rpm - insane.
Anyway yes our focus moves back to the blue lancer 4G69 this week.

What were the results of the adjustable header/DP? You also haven't updated on the progress on the emanage system either. How are the cams coming along? In other words, what's working and what's not? How much longer do we have to wait for pricing? I understand postponing the RA for the race cars but we'd like to be clued in on what you HAVE done so far.
Thanks,
Thanks,
We have not progressed any further than last time before the race cars
The greddy is installed but cannot be tested until after we get the headers and finish the CAI kit cause the car is in too many pieces to get it running.
The camshafts are manafactured as blanks and we are working on profiles on them still - takes time to research and we aer waiting for some feedback on the headers on the power and torque curves so we can profile the cams to work with the headers and cai kits etc for max gains.
Its one of those things - the stage is pretty much set to do all the final testing, but waiting for that key item to finsih it all off. Once that happens, everythign will happen very very quickly within a matter of a week.

Good news had word back from our fitter that we have finished the design on the headers on the second redesign. As what we wanted, longer primary pipes, 4-1 with two header size option (We will still be testing these to see which size is better)
The design also comes with two options - supplied with our own high flow cat converter to replace the two or a flange and you can cut and weld the second cat system onto our flex pipe / down pipe.
O2 Nuts are fitted into the header and onto our cat converter, or a nut supplied if you want ot use the origonal cat converter
We will have finilised photos and dyno reports on these midle of next week.
And pricing is good - shoudl be the exact same price as the Lancer 2.0 header systems

Well I am not 100% certain on the USA models, but on the australian models and I beleive the USA models, there is one cat covnerter welded into the front manifold, as in solid welded in and a second cat converter further down the car.
The first cat converter is not so obvious we had to look hard to find it ourselves.

Good news and glad to hear it! I'm glad you have the headers proto'd but I'm hoping you will test the emanage w/ the slider assembly just to simplify your tuning and make it a little quicker to get the results you/we are looking for. So 780 AUS ~575 US dollars for the street version w/ a dp and cat. Excellent, we have a price!
Otter, I think he reffered to the 2 cat's before on the Aussie versions, might be the reason for being less powerful at the wheel than North American versions, we'll find out once he gives some dyno #'s. Oh yeah don't forget to tell us which brand of dynometer you use too!
Oooohhh.. we're almost there....

He uses a hub dyno "Dyno Pac" the results on these are extremely accurate as there is no need to take into consideration the different variable with rims sizes and wheel widths and tires slipping etc... plus tuning a car is far better and more accurate for the same reasons I think if you look at the very first post he has put a link in there that tells you why

Mitsiman - Little off the subject, but I read elsewhere that RPW had finished a twin piston caliper setup for the R/A. any info or links you can provide...or perhaps a price? Thanks in advance for your help and answers.

Hey Mitsiman, just in case I'm never allowed to log in again, I'll be following your progress on the RA. Do me a favor though and check the emanage w/o the pressure sensor for the N/A guys like me that don't mind dedicating a cheap laptop or micro computer to control things. I really do appreciate you coming on the scene and introducing some much needed competition and innovation to the boards. Don't let them run you off no matter what! I may have to return in-cog-nito after my last post. Kill 'em with kindness if you can because I surely can't anymore!
