Update on RPW Ralliart Model Products
We will be doing a dyno tune with the exhaust as a mod only. The greddy will initially be set to a zero tune, and then we will compare this to the gain after tuning as well.
So that way we are comparing the improved gains on the header specifically. It is always assuimed that before you do a head, you will already have done the exhaust so this is a fair indication of what the majority of owners woudl be doing mods wise.

hmm teaser news.
The new header package just rocked up - and loving them. They are traditional RPW design, we have not done any sharp angles, full mandrel bent one piece piping and no major offesets sideways to restrict air flow. Flex pipe full piece with flanges, and of course nice large cat converter. These almost look identical in design to our 2.0 systems which is great news cause we all know how well they perform on the lancer vehicles.
Will have photos of unit and installation on internett tomorrow night - but I know your going to love it.

As far as the gt28r goes, what trim were you planning on using? Looking at garretts website there are quite a few gt28r's, and I'm still trying to develop a general understanding of how this is all setup, what turbochargers will be able to directly bolt up to your manifold etc.
well for those itnerested first photos of the headers fitted into the car on our website now
http://www.rpw.com.au/Customer%20Car...57mainpage.htm
Only two fitting issues to be rectified - the headers are being moved out 15mm closer to the radiator to clear the heat shield on the starter motor, and repositioning the front O2 sensor further up the headers so that we don't have to cut and extend the wiring.
But car drives very very very nice, lot stronger down low and picked up performance up top. Unfortunatly due to other factors, I can't get to the dyno today so won't be till monday / your sunday before we can put teh car back on the dyno
But fitting wise took a total of 3/4 hour from start to finish with the bolt on kit which anyone can do in there back yard its that easy.
This kit is with the smaller 1 1/2" diameter pipes, next kit with 1 3/4" pipes will be tested in around 1 1/2 weeks time

so is this a 4-2 header or 4-1? ok no dyno till monday coo. so whats up with this greddy emanage, you have to set that to zero than dyno the headers? so you already have the emanage on the ralliart or am i trippin? so the price on the header combo is 6 something right
Greddy emanage we are finishing right now - probably in an hours time we will have the answer that everyones waiting on, as well we will do a tune with the emanage with the headers and that will be available for purchase for those wanting to fit it themselves, and want a pretuned option with the RPW headers and exhaust packages.
Cars still going to the track tonight so without a tune will be interestin to see the gains.

About the header and dp/cat. WOW! Looks fantastic and you're allready working on the starter issue before I could say anything. You have every angle picture I wanted (if a couple are a little fuzzy but so what) and a couple I hadn't thought of. Nice! Is that the coating on there or is it just paint? It looks more bluish than silver is why I ask. Also what type of coating is on the bottom of the RA? I'm definately getting enthused now. Keep up the good stuff and let us all know about the emanage too.
Thanks!
now some stuff that says its done on the list you made but its not on the website. the date shows its done like: the suspension upgrades, the gear shifter assembly i could of sworn i saw something else but i don't see it

WE have done sway bars, strut braces, shocks and shifter on the car = as listed on our website.
I havn't put anything into our price list yet - need to do a new version of the price list this weekend if I can get time.
Emanage we are still working through - we can make it work on the MAP sensor so far, and partially on the ignition timing, but not having success working it on the hot wire sensor yet. The calibration choices in the hot wire sensor is out of sync with the factory settings so far.
Need to go back and do some more trialling, modifying to adapt it up.
But hte good news is that the haltech piggy back ecu will work nicely no problems at all. That much we can tell already because it works on different principles to the emanage and in its own way, more flexible not requiring specific mapping default options the emanage uses.
I can't say yet on the ability of the ecu to compensate for timing over time, like everyone we will all know once the car has been driven some more with a tune in it. BUt having a in built knock sensor, they are usually always attempting to optimize timing anyway so I don't see that as being an issue.

I know for most you would of read the other thread but for those that have not then here it is the Headers from RPW are awesome... the power increase is certainly there the torque starts immediatley as soon as you put pressure on the accelerator.... the car actually feels stronger and it feels like it is pulling better, longer and more consistantly through the rev range.
The sound is incrediable, very nasty ....
My track times were improved from the last outing by .250 of a second but unfortunately I was only able to get 2 runs in for the night - too many cars there and due to my lack of drive time which consisted of freeway driving in peek traffic going to the track was not great prep time... having said that I feel that if I had another run and launched at 2500rpm I would of seen a 15.5 - 15.6 which would of meant that the headers would of accounted for a .400 off my stock car time... which I would of considered to be very good...
On the trip home a few hills to climb the car found these very easy almost like it was flat ground and using up maybe 10% throttle in 5th hitting a comfortable speed
Later today I will be taking the car out for a better street type of drive (No peek traffic were I live)and see how much more of an improvement there is. But for the mean time I am extremely impressed and the wait has certainly been worth it.... Congratulations David on producing another great product which I am proud to have on my car
