Couple of questions regarding the rrm piggyback for the m/t RA.

1. Will having a Header and underdrive pulley effect the performance of the PB?

2. Will PB still peform properly if CEL is triggered? (I need a new CAT)

1. yes header and underdrive pulley will affect the pb. but in a good way. it seems to me that the more mods you have the better everything will coincide together.

2. my cel is still on and my car runs like a champ. they just suck cause of the orange light on.

 

Well then maybe I got a junk PB. It runs great till the CEL is triggered then it starts to run like ****. Almost as if MIVEC is gone.

Any ideas on why this might be?

I am going to leave it out off the car till I get the cat replaced. See if it helps.

Has anyone saved a working MAP to a laptop yet? Maybe if I load a fresh MAP then I can tell if it is the PB or the CEL.

 

Just a hint, I dont know why yours is dropping back without mivec but whats happening to your car is as soon as the CEL comeson the car will drop back to a default program to protect the engine. When the light comes off it will again default back to the original computer program.

 

It sounds like whatever is wrong with your car is causing limp mode. I am sure this is probably not any aftermarket part. There is probably something wrong with the car.

 

Get the Cel code. You might be getting something else than P0421(header related)

I am gonna straighten out the cat and try the piggyback again.

Oh and the car runs fine when i take the piggyback out, even with the cel on.
