Well, first of all you better crawl under your car to see if your cat is duel flanged. If it's not thne the RRM cat delete won't work unles you want to cut it and weld it in, but then you can't switch it back.

If you take out the cat your car is going to be a lot louder and raspy sounding. You will gain a few hp from it but I would personally recommend putting on a high-flow cat so that you are still legal, you keep some backpressure, and the sound doesn't get out of control. Just my .02.

It will be a good deal louder. I did this and quickly bought the high flow cat. If you go high flow you will be losing less horsepower than you think. On the plus side you won't be unnecessarily polluting the environment. If you don't have a good muffler I suggest you get one if you delete the cat because it will sound like dookie under WOT at 2K to 2.5K and from 4K until you stop.

There is more restriction in that are of the car as well, specifically at the bend in the downpipe. You should really replace this and the cat with a DP and highflow setup to make more power. Even with the high flow cat you should still consider the muffler though. Thats where I am going next because it still doesn't sound mean, just loud.

illegal or not, you should run with a cat. Please don't contribute to the detriment of our environment. Cat-delete is for track use where the 1/2 to 1hp gain you will get over a high flow cat is actually needed.

Yep, it's a weld on. I would wait to get the RRM DP to weld it on though. Either that or you can just buy the new header with a high-flow cat.
