RRM ECU - Small Issues

I installed the ECU about 3 weeks ago now, for the first couple weeks or so I didn't notice any issues but now it seems at lower RPMs when I am just cruising in town from 40-65 on lower trottle it almost seems as if the engine isnt getting enough gas and has momentary pauses. I haven't tried anything yet to fix it because I haven't had much time but does anyone know what it might be?

Either PM Rock or phone them. Could it be bad gas?

See if an ECU reset makes the symptom go away. Then see if it comes back.

Oh, and I wouldn't call 65mph "low rpm", unless you got 6th, 7th, and 8th speed gears installed.

Well, 65 MPH on low throttle.

It acts either during low throttle or lower rpms or both. I thought about maybe a bad tank but I'm the third that it is doing it in.

What kind of gas are you putting in?

How many miles do you have on your car?

Other mods?

Have you tried resetting the ECU to see if the problem goes away for a while?

I don't know if this would have anything to do with anything, but did you use the quick connectors on your pb or are they soldered? In theory, if some of those wires were jiggling loose or something like that couldn't it cause some bizarre behavior?

Well i'd try putting some 91+ octane in it. i'm pretty sure the piggyback requires 91 octane fuel.

The V2 piggy has been tuned to 89 octane according to RRM.

check the connections, if u wiggle the wires while the car is at idle and it acts up at all, u got loose wires which may be the problem. double check the connections. i went out and bought other connectors from home depot. same kind just a lil better.

The connectors were soldered and wrapped in electrical tape. The won't come loose in 100 years.

I just got mine a month or two ago. and i've been using 93 (b/c i thought it was tuned for 91 which we don't have here) so should i switch down to 89? and did i screw up anything running on 93?

(sorry don't mean to steal the thread)
