RA Throttle Body - Auto vs. Manual transmission

RalliArt Throttle Body - Auto vs. Manual transmission version ?

I have searched the forum and couldn't find anything about this, sorry if this has already been covered somewhere else.

I am wondering what the difference...if any, there is between the stock Throttle body on an Automatic Transmision RalliArt and a Manual transmision RalliArt ?

Before becoming a RalliArt owner....I was a dodge Neon owner/tuner.

A very basic, cheap power adder for Manual transmision guys was to track down a stock throttle body from an Automatic transmision car and bolt it up.

The reason being:
The TB that came stock on a 2.0L Manual Dodge Neon was normally 48-49 MM and the 2.0L Auto equipped cars came stock with a 52 MM TB.

Does anything like this carry over into the Lancer world ?...as I have not read or seen much in terms of TB upgrades, other than machining out your stock one.

What is the stock RA TB for a 5 speed car ? and what is the stock size for an Auto car ? and what other TBs can we as manual tranny guys bolt up and use as an upgrade ?

Thanks and sorry if this has been covered already.

Allan

Uh, yah....

I realize that Australia is kinda remote and does not share the landmass/border advantages of economics that Canada has with the United States.....but really...
Do they coat everything in GOLD before they sell it ? Let's hear it for Capitolism.....and HIGH PRICES (in comparison to what I know of RRM that is).

I would really hate to think of how much a Turbo kit from them would cost me to get home to Canada, equal to everything that is included with RRM's Stage 1 for the 4G69.

I would also have to feel somewhat concerned, as they have the market COMPLETELY MONOPOLIZED for local Auzzies and charge a FORTUNE for their stuff. I hope that 'local boys/girls' don't get 'bent over' with the website listed prices.

On the upside they have fresh toys for the 4G69 that RRM does not:
- Cam Gears
- Camshafts
- Thermo Gasket kits for intake/throttle body
- Front OR Rear Drop springs SOLD PER PAIR (Genious if you ask me, as most guys don't even need to touch the back of a RA)
- Staged/A La carte/Build your own Turbo.....seperately sold manifolds most importantly.....but, with this sales model, hard to imagine that they are really PROVEN combos such as RRM's stage 1 for the RA.

So, on a side note:
RRM Boys, get your act together and catch up !......lol
just kidding

I didn't see anything in regards to throttle bodies.

Thanks for the link in your sig though....good reading.

don't forget the prices quoted on the website are in AUD. not USD I think from memory $1.00 AUD is equal to $0.75 USD

Also the RRM turbo kit is different from the RPW kit... as both companies have taken slightly different approaches with the 4G69 engine...

And sorry lastly the RPW website is not complete of all the products that are available so to find out about T/B you may need to send them an email...

Glad to see you enjoyed the read about the car.

Mighty nice size if you ask me. At least for stock, Id rather touch the intake manifold before the throttle. Too many electrical gremlins I dont want to mess with
