I am bringing this thread back from the grave.

I am sorry to hear about your loss Diavlo... your work has always been in my sights and based on your research, I will pick up where you left off.

I have already ordered some of the parts off of an Outlander and I will mix and match with my existing EVO IX components.

Again, thank you for your dedication. The AWD conversion for Lancers will soon be a reality for us thanks to your research.

Just wondering here, will the outlander rear spindles/hubs fit the oz lancer trailing arms. I'd like to do the 5 bolt swap and add the evo brakes and then do the awd swap later. Don't want to buy outlander trailing arms yet.

Also have you looking into the possibility of using a outlander trunk floor to bolt the diff into?

You can use the outlander parts to go 5 lug, or you can use the ralliart edition to do it also. As for the front, you can use ralliart or evo spindles. If you use evo, you'll have to use different calipers.

What do you mean by floor? The crossmember or rear subframe?

so ralliart spindles will mate with outlander trailing arms?

I meant there was talk about not having a place to bolt the rear diff, if we used a floor from an outlander could you not then just bolt the rear subframe into place vs. welding up brackets and such?

Also anyone have a clue how well the outlander diff will be able to hold 500hp?

if you use the outlander floor doesn't this requiere more welding than just welding brackets?
I do believe you will still need to outlander floor for the notch for the differential and the tunnel for the driveshaft...otherwise the driveshaft and diff will hold a bit too low the the ground and you'll have to jack the suspension a bit to make it work...kind of wrong direction since AWd is mainly for performance purpose

The spindles should work. As for the floor, I have no clue.

Guys reading is KEY here , Diablo hasn't even logged on here for over 2 years, not to mention he is/was in the United Kingdom. I'm not trying to be rude but search , the answers won't pop up on the first page you search either. It may take hours to get the clear understanding of whatever it is your looking for but 99% of the time, it's already been asked , discussed , and tested.....

I met this guy that use to have a 2004 ralliart and he did the awd conversion using an evo vi drivetrain. He said everything swapped over easily. That was before I moved and I didn't get to ask him in detail. Someone with the money might want to look into it. Thought it might help.

Reviving this as I am going to be attempting this swap in the coming months for those interested. Quite a few years down the road from Diavlo's attempt before his car was stolen.

Progress here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/al...ap-11.html#160

I've acquired a wrecked 2006 outlander with a 5spd awd transmission which will be put into my 4G69 2.4L oz rally (also an engine swap similar to diavlo's 1.6)

Basically, Outlander 05 has the same engine and chassis as the 05 lancer, but AWD. The lancer has the space and holes for AWD hardware and in Asia it is sold as a 1.5 MIVEC with AWD.

It there is possible to create a 2.4 Turbo AWD Lancer Ralliart - and I'm beginning the process now.

I'll keep you updated what I find, and hopefully, begin the process. I was the first person to swap a 4G69 into a 04-06 lancer that previous had a 1.6L engine, and I expect to be the first person to do an AWD conversion, so long as my shop manual comparision research goes smoothly.

I'll let you all know what I find.
Hello I would be very interested in your research findings I have the same idea for my 05 ralliart 2.4
