Cylinder Head project !!!
Smt-6
He must have just posted one. Thanks boozeup&riot. So does the SMT6 come programmed with any kind of base fuel map? Also, does everyone have a laptop to tune this thing with?
I can just see myself lugging my desktop out to the garage with the monitor and keyboard and sh*t.....

it does not come with a base tune, however after install it also isn't modifying any of the stock ecu parameters yet. You need to drive it gently down to a local tuner and have them take a look, they should be able to figure out out somewhat quickly. That's what I would do, as I don't have a wideband.
two things on that note.
It's a universal unit, and these things rarely come with a base tune. RRM is nice enough to make an application specific box and put a starter tune on it. a universal unit can't have a base tune because it is universal. one cars base tune might be the demise of your engine.
the smt-6 is a universal unit, and requires much more setup and wiring than the piggyback. RRM backs up their piggyback with excellent customer service, and while I can't tell you how perfect powers customer service is I can say it's a universal unit and you will most likely know more about your application than they will. they will support the unit, but they can't support the setup and installation like RRM can.
I bought the SMT-6 because I think it will be better for my application, but more importantly because I think I can get it to work. If you are leery about the install in general you will be better off with the "plug and play" RRM unit. That way you can have your cake and eat it too

I'm worried about running the RRM unit with NO2. Haven't heard much about their unit being able to control a direct port system.
Talking brass tacs, which unit has more features? RRM piggy or SMT-6? I can get it tuned.

From what I have read, the smt-6 gives you quite a bit more features, and if you buy it on ebay, its almost half the price of anyone else's offering.
your call, but if you are asking which has more features you had better do some more research before deciding on a product. just my $.02
Mig or someone else that knows. I need to know what all was done to your cylinder head. I have a shop down here that will do it for me and im a noob when it comes to machine and head work
