Hi does anyone (beside RRM) make a flywheel for our Ralliart's????

I look in Fidanza web (I think the one that RRM sells if fidanza) but the list seems not to be updated.

Same Q about the LSD, do you know IF some one make a LSD for the RA?? (i dont think so)

RPW are doing a LSD Group Buy for Quaife LSD's for our cars.

RRM sell a LSD as well as you already know.

Flywheel - not sure. Good luck!

The LSD for the ralliart is the same used in the V6 Eclipse vehicles.
Speak with Tearstone Performance who specialsie in eclipses I am sure he will do a good price on the LSD for the ralliart lancer.

http://tearstone.com/shop/

As for the flywheel, I beleive its the same flywheel as the 4G64 Eclipse model but I have not confirmed that yet

+1 to mitsiman, thanks for the cross reference. That's the kind of info we REALLY need for this car. That's how the Honda guys get so much aftermarket, everything is swapable

the RRM LSD is 1299, the other guys LSD is 1275 and its for v6 eclipses... i'd rather pay the extra 24 dollars for an LSD that is garanteed' to fit rather than cross reference things.... But that infomation is good to know. Maybe you can find a really cheap LSD for eclipse and hope it fits our car.

Just remember that lightenned flywheels does not give you HP they just help you accelerate easier and also remember this.
When you are cruising around in the highway your car is in 5th gear and you are pushing slightly the gas pedal to make the car go forward. This is because the flywheel and the crankshaft have a weight calculated to retain a good MPG when cruising so that the weight will help you mantain a speed. When you install an Aluminum flywheel you loosse that weight and accelerate faster but when you are cruising you will need to press the gas pedal more time to mantain speed therefore using more gas and effort. The best way to accelerate better will be to have the stock flywheel lightenned a couple of pounds and balanced . That will give you the best results.. and for less money...
If you are not going turbo i believe installing an LSD will be a waste of money ...

LSD will always improve handling, regardless of what you drive. Unless your wheels are losing traction when accelerating or cornering you don't need an LSD. I would say everyone with an RA needs an LSD, it should have been stock. that's an opinion of course, as is migue's statement.

On to fact:
the tires on your car weren't designed for your car specifically, but they work anyway right? the quaife dif that RRM is selling for the RA was not designed for the RA, it is modified to work in the RA. Same thing with lot's of things. to say it's not for our car just because autozone lists it as being for another vehicle is kind of silly man. Manufacturers use the same parts over a wide range of car models, that's how we have a brake upgrade that won't break the bank. cross reference means that you take one part number and find all the part numbers for other manufacturers that meet or exceed the requirements of the part you are looking for. With brakes you need to have them mount somehow, even with brackets. With a diff you might need a different shaft/bolt/tolerance somewhere, but if it meets enough requirements it will fit. the only reason we have any LSD option at all is because RRM took the time to find one that was very close to the requirements and modified it. Mitsiman is mearly saying that he believes the V6 Eclipse LSD will work with our transmission, and I would be willing to bet it's the same thing RRM found out and that's where there's came from. They are just ahead of RPW with the 4g69. It's too bad they only got one last year

Hey Migue, I have the wheel and my actual MPG got better, maybe because most my daily commute to work is mostly highway, I can stretch a full tank for a week, where as, before, I was filling up every 5 days. It just takes finesse with the throttle, I dont really have to downshift anymore for passing

Im sorry to tell you I don't share your opinion

the Flywheel give you more acceleration , less weight so the engine can move better im not a genius but I think that will actually from a way or other will make your car faster, so why not put it?, anyway I have a lightened flywheel on my Civic h22 and it was an improvement, AND WHAT THA HECK DID I CARE ABOUT MPG!!

About the LSD, I dont know if you have stop your car on the road and rev it to 3000++ and let go the clutch, but I do, and the freaking car just doens go anywhere it practically do a burnout, and I have LSD on my other cars, and Its always an improvement, in 1/4 mile times, and on circuit also

Anyway!

I want a freaking LSD, or a phantom grip
if what mitsiman says its true, I guess a phantom grip for a eclipse should fit the RA, BUT off course I wont spend money just to see if it fits, hehe

Flywheels just "free up hp' rather than gain hp.

It's like adding light-weight rims, it doesn't add hp, just frees it up.
