the 401 is because a vacuum line from the egr valve blew off. same thing happens to me regularly. there are threads on here about it...its a pain to reach, too

there are no external lines for the EGR on the RA, it goes through the head, along the intake manifold, into the EGR valve and then into the #4 intake runner. The valve is controlled by a stepper motor, not vacuum. the egr valve is checked by the MAP sensor and relies on most of the other sensors on the engine, including the TPS. If the TPS is bad, the EGR system could be included in the dtc's. I doubt the EGR valve would put the car in limp mode, but as otter said the tps would.

Dan if I bought it as a "New Used" car is it still covered?
