Question Evo 8 stutter

Hey guys Im having so much trouble with driving my car due to bogging.
At first it was randomly happening during highway driving around 2800 rpm and 3500 rpm in 5th gear but now it’s even at idle and some times 3rd and 4th! It feels like the car starts missing randomly and bogs but as soon as I would let off the gas and get back on it would go away. It almost feels like the car starts missing on one cylinder and is starving for fuel. i checked my vacume lines and every thing seems to be ok. The car was tuned before i left AZ and it started about 4 days after i got to OR.

List of things i checked:
- Vacume lines
- Spark Plugs and gap - Stock
- Fuel pump, sock, lines in gas tank - Wall-255
- MAF
- Coils are making same amount of power tested - Stock
- Cleaned all connectors

Also if any one lives near beaverton OR area that maybe has a cable to help me log my car.

This is my only car, if you can please help with any info guys!!

Yeah i checked the injrs, I think it might have something to do with the vibration in my tranny!? It throwes the P0300 code as soon as it acts up?

If its a 2003 model or early 2004 their notorious for these symptoms and the p300 code. My 03 did it on the way home from buying it with 25 miles on the clock and would randomly do it the entire time I owned the car.

There is alot of speculation about what causes it, some say the dealer reflash would help others claimed it did nothing. Seems like its a great mystery...

I had the same problem. I did a boost leak test and found some big leaks which fixed the problem.

Your getting that random miss fire code, i had it for years till i finally start looking to fix it. I got rid of it by changing my map to a V7.. You can disable it on there..

check the plug wires, i was gettin a terrible misfire, thought it was plugs and upon inspection my wire had pulled out where it connects to the plug. New wires and it was fixed. Tricky little bastards

I have gone through about 4 years of spark plugs in 3 days, I traced all vacuum lines and only found a small broken one...Fixed it and nothing really diff!

Under WOT the car will scream smooth with no hiccups until i bring it back down to cruise! It’s only at 2500 - 3500 RPM when it happens.
It started only in 5th but is now in 4th gear also at the same RPM Range!! I have gone through everything I can think of.

Also des any one live in the Portland area that can tune? Not a shop.

Awwww damn cuz, I think what you may have a worn input shaft causing a vibration in your drivetrain that your ecu is picking up and registering as a misfire. There is a TSB that came out on it years ago for the 03-04's. It only happens at part throttle right? Like you will jus be cruising along say coming off an exit ramp on to the highway and you go to give the car a lil more gas and it just sputters and shakes, so you let off the gas and get back on it 2, 3, 4 sometimes 6 times before the car will accelerate normal again. Does this sound like your issue? If so coils, plugs, flashes whatever aren't going to fix it as it is mechanical. Now if you go to a standalone ECU it would go away otherwise you will have to get those parts replaced I think I had to get the shaft, 5th gear and something else replaced to make it stop. If you pm me an email I can send you the TSB, or you can look it up. LMK
