resonator or glasspack

i have 2 resonators on my car and it is finally quiet enough to drive and not sound like a loud loud car that does not have enough power to be so loud. My cat back still has stock resonator(the place decided to turn my catback into a resonator back and charge me the same amount, i payed upfront to this questionable place needless to say im not going there anymore) and i got another "high performance resonator" which the muffler shop thought theyd weld into my down pipe(and u can hear the resonator inside the car and it makes a sound of its own which sounds like a rusted out deisel car), they did not call like they were supposed to and so now i got a new downpipe from rrm and am going to do things myself with a buddy who can weld everything once i have it all ready.

Now the question haha should i buy 2 resonators to weld into the cat back or buy one cherry bomb glasspack from canadian tire? does the glasspack quiet things alot more than a resonator? im looking to add a bit of back pressure too, straight through muffler and headerback 2 1/4 inch exhaust killed power everywhere im thinking cherrybomb is way to go

Your exhaust sounds like a mess. 1 good resonator and 1 good muffler should be all you need. I have no cat, a 24" Magnaflow resonator, and a magnaflow muffler, and the car sounds fine. It's loud, but really not too raspy, but honestly, if you don't want it to be loud, you should keep a cat in there.

haha ya its turned into a mess and it sounds awful, your setup with one long resonator is exactly what i wanted done when i took it to the muffler shop but they decided not to call me and just weld this frankinstein one in, this was kind of a stupid question cuz i figured it out myself i think can u delete the post?

No, this is because a glasspack is of a muffler type and will make your car more raspy, unlike a resonator which works in conjuction with a muffler to make your car quieter

2.25 should actually work perfectly for your car. Unless your running a straight pipe. I would have the rrm downpipe, Highflow cat and muffler. all 2.25

ok im gunna have to go spend a bit on a resonator, this "high performabce" resonator the muffler shop put on makes a hissing sound, how do i know a different one wont do that? it makes the car sound like a diesel, and it is header back straight piped to the muffler with the stock resonator and they hissing other resonator
