Cam/tune question

Hey everyone,

As everyone does I've been thriving more from my motor. I've recently been thinking about a camshaft and piggy back.

My questions being:
1) Would doing these mods effect the reliability of my engine?
2) Is a stage 2 camshaft going to make the car rough?
3) What would be the difference in power between stage 1 and 2?
4) Do I need to tune my car with a piggy back with either camshaft stage 1, 2 or both?
5) Whats the difference in gains between stage 1 and 2?
6) How much more go would I be looking from doing these mods?

Thanks guys.

RRM has stage 1 & 2, IIRC rock told me in a pm to just put in the comments box when you make the order whether you'd like stage 1 or 2.

IMO stage 2 is more worth the money =]

Thanks guys.

Yeah I'm looking into the stage 2. I'd only go stage 1 if I didn't have to tune the car for it. I've got some saving up to do I think.

let me shed a little more light on the subject rather than a simple yes or no answer...

do you need to tune your car/piggyback for this cam

NO. NO you do not NEED to tune it. your car will get a healthy boost in power and alot of tourque around 3000-4000 RPMS. but you dont NEED to tune it. but if you want to get the best bang for your buck, and get the most power out of your cam, than YES tuning it will help, and you will squeeze a couple more ponies out of the cam. but in a nut shell, stage one or 2. you do NOT need to tune it. the car runs perfectly fine without a tune. but better with a tune.

Ohh thanks!
So if I were to put the stage 2 cam in my car without a tune I wouldn't get stalling problems or anything like that? Would I need a piggy back or would an SAFC do the job?

If I can do it with an SAFC then that would save me quite a bit in the long run. But if I don't need a tune then I could get the cam now and get the tune later...
