Hackish ECU Reflash Review
I'd be interested in a harness for the aem fic but it seemed to never get off the ground. I don't have a dyno but I have felt a difference in the reflash. Although like I said I'd rather have the fic, so I can retune it as needed.
How far along did you and brian get with actually having a harness?

I gave him the full service manual, but didn't hear from him after that.
Updated Reflashing ECUFlash software now available... Reads/Writes Ralliart Colt ecus now. Reading Colt Stock ECU roms have been confirmed by 2 sources. If someone here knows how to write the xml settings file for the rom, we can write the roms back to the stock ecu. Obviously this only works with an OpenPort 2.0 usb cable, not the OpenPort 1.3U cables. Also don't forget to connect the external Mitsubishi reflash connector to the reflash ecu pin, so that the reflash works. See my website for more details on how to connect it up... ECUFlash has been specially programmed so that it won't read hackish flashes. But you can write over Hackish ecu flashes.

I Can personally tell you that any piggyback especially the Aem Fic will give you, A LOT more headaches in the long run. When u reflash the ECU, its a one time thing that becomes your car and IS NOT part of your car like a piggy system is... Trust me, 2 yrs of headaches and no performance to speak of with the FIC... and I'm sure Halltech would be the same thing.
Errghh I've heard good things from both.... I know of a stock motor gt eclipse that has tuned 450ft/lbs of torque on the fic with nitrous, and awdmotorsports which is like 30minutes away has broken several records with the haltech...

Soon people will have their cars custom tuned in a dyno
Glad to see that the reflashing R&D are still going...
Seeing as it has been confirmed that there are many carsthat have this engine in and so many different ECU's - is there a list of ECU's part numbers available anywhere so that people can see if they have a compatable ECU that has been or can be reflashed as I believe that the Australian ECU is not easily reflashed. I beleive that here in Australia we actually have a couple of different types as well, so here is the number for one of the ECU's that I have.
anyway here is a starting point for ECU numbers

I've done a few of the australian ECUs a year or so ago. Unfortunately they have the immo enabled so there was no way to do a swap for them. At present time I have 82 different maps decoded from the galant, ralliart and 4g eclipse plus a smattering of work I did on the pajero, outlander turbo and colt czr. Mitsu sure didn't make it easy.
