Clutch fork

I ran into an issue today while bleeding my clutch and I am not sure how to go about fixing this. I was bleeding the clutch everything was fine, spongy feeling almost 90% gone when I noticed the brake fluid coming out a much darker colour. Mins later the pedal lost all feel and the clutch fork refused to move when the pedal was depressed. I can move the fork by hand no problem, but the pedal is useless. I'm assuming this is a master cylinder issue seeing as the fluid coming out was a darker (blackish) colour and the fork won't move. Anyone else have this issue? How did you resolve it? Am I completely out to lunch on thinking its the master cylinder?

Get a new slave cylinder as well. They're not that expensive. Rockauto.com is the way to go for parts.
