Help!! my RA suddenly accelerates when I have turned on the air conditioner!!

Hackish, or somebody who understands the ECU better would probably be able to explain this, but a bad O2 sensor could throw off the calculation, causing a lean AFR, could it not?...to me, i think lanzer is right, those codes all point to the O2, and you said yourself it's not connected...i wouldn't consider a CAI to be the problem...

I had an o2 sim that extended the o2 sensor. That caused the wires from the o2 sensor to rub against the heat shield underneath the car. Everytime it would rain, my ecu fuse under the hood would pop. Someone in the evo section was having the same problem and thats what it was. Now i have an o2 sim thats shaped like an L and that took care of it. I wouldnt try to connect the wires back together, I'd just get another sensor.

any clue on what caused this for you pj//ralli? i think mine began to have this symptom when the ac was on and it just lurched forward a bit

good to know. i dont have any CELs as of yet but randomly yesterday at a stop light it just lurched forward a bit and i was like... wtf

Perhaps the engine is programmed to rev a little higher when the air con is first enabled and is putting an extra load on the engine. Higher revs would get the pump going without the idle revs getting too low then the car possibly stalling.

^^Yes I know that, the problem is that is not a little higher it's about 3000 to 4000rpm that is too much man and it happened everytime I'm on parking, neutral or in a traffic congestion I really don't know what or why this is happening but I'm very upset!!

I decided yesterday to go to the dealer to check this f*&*%n problem and the mechanic there scan it and turned out that the fuel injectors, air flow meter and trotle body were dirty as hell they cleaned everything and problem solved!!!!!!!!! wow know it feels like new!! and about the check engine light the O2 sensor that goes after the cat is not working so that would be my next thing to fix!! thanks to all of you that try to help me!!!

Well I'm glad you got it sorted out , looks like just bad cheap gas was the culprit then.

sounds like nothing a little seafoam and maf cleaner couldn't fix lol. hope they didnt charge you too much

I will get some pics soon, it is very dirty I think I would get like 10 pounds of dirt from it, is raining every day. keep around I will get some pics soon!!!
