Hard time holding an Idle

I ran through a puddle that was pretty deep and it stalled the car. After 10 minutes it was finally able to start. But after a few days it started not being able to hold an idle. When it would idle it would be just above or right at 500. But whenever I put it in neutral it will go straight down and stall. I replaced the MAP and MAF sensors, cleaned the r and r egr valve. I have no idea what else it could be. Any thoughts?
Also when it is about to stall I can rev it to 4k rpms and it will idle just fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

isn't 2 1/2 feet pretty close to your windows? and where on god's earth did you find a puddle that deep? and then decide to drive a car through it.

did it throw a code?

2 1/2 feet? I'm already thinking you shorted something out and broke some sensors.

I'm surprised you didn't hydrolock

Yea same here. I was surprised it even started up. But since it did I thought maybe it survived and I got lucky but I replaced the MAP and MAF sensors and cleaner the EGR valve and throttle body which helped a little but what do you think should be the next replacement? They said an EGR valve was 600 bucks? Seems a bit high?

Did you clear the old codes so you could see which new codes pop up next?
