Find a VIN tag on it and CARFAX it. The free report will tell you what year, make, and model it's from.

 

already on that I am getting it swapped in tomorrow and the place I purchased the engine from who is sending the car fax hasn't replied to my email yet. The new engine has a hole in the oil pan so I was curious if my old one would just swap right up because I don't really want to go through a dealer to get an alluminum oil pan
