CAI Filter Change

I've got an 04 ralliart with the injen cai, and it badly needs a new air filter (it looks beyond cleanable). Will I have to remove the front bumper to just change the air filter, or has anyone been able to get to it any other way (maybe by removing the headlight)?

I was raised throughout middle TN , where are you at? But to change the filter , jack up the front end, (use jack stands) undo the black plastic clips that are on the bottom driverside splash guard, once that section is off you should be able to get to the filter, take it off and put the new one ... this the part number if you want the same one from injen,
INJ-X-1013-BR and here is the injen hydroshield part number X-1033BLK for said filter incase your interested in more assurance from water getting in your motor.

you would have to remove the bumper to remove the headlight anyway...

This. Not sure how effective the hydroshield is by itself, but also look into getting a bypass valve.

Filter is actually pretty easy to get at once you remove the small splash apron. I totally recommend get the Hydrosock from Injen to go over your filter. Not only helps keeps the water out but all the other crap while your driving.
