Custom Cold Air Intake (temporary)
The ghetto part, I just pictured what it would look like...*shudders* I'll not do it then. But I did some extensive research on the CAI vs SRI. For what I like I'll keep my SRI. Also driving around yesterday...I wouldn't be able to drive in puddles anymore! (live in a floodable area) I like to drive through big ones
can't really do that with CAI.

do what RalliartN did with the stock intake, smartest intake mod i've seen yet...it draws air from the same location as a cold air intake, but can't suck up water because it's still drawing air from the "ram air" scoop...i would actually like to put my stock intake back on next time Nick an i meet up and compare intake air temperatures...
Rob, i only have that little one in the pic that goes past the battery, it's too small, and i have another than is 90 degree but has 12" legs...that and i'll be needing these for the turbo, and also i'm no longer in Borden, i'm posted to trenton permanently for the next few years
So, i'll have to make road trips if you're in a major pickle and need a hand with anything, sorry man.
Oh, and i got a new personal best 1/4 mile ET, my best prior, was 15.67s at 87.9mph. My best reaction was .507s, and that ended with a 15.633s @ 89.99mph. My average is about .6 seconds.
Tonight, my best two were:
15.499s @ 89.47mph
15.530s @ 90.52mph
my top speed was 91.07mph, but took 15.79s...I was trying different ways of launching, and shifting and found dumping the clutch and letting the LSD take care of the rest was the best method, and my fastest times were while shifting into 2nd around 5500-6000, and the rest of the gears at around 7000rpm. I actually chirped going into 3rd, never done that before, lol.
