TOB may wear faster due to the stiffer pressure plate springs, that wouldn't surprise me...I actually use my clutch as little as possible, like when i come to a stop any time, i clutch in, pull to neutral and brake, when i'm ready to go, i clutch, shift to 1st and continue. If i'm in 3rd gear, and i don't have to stop, i roll the corner in 3rd. the less time i spend with the clutch pedal depressed, the less time i spend putting stress on the TOB, so hopefully it will last a little longer.

though when i race i still hammer the clutch pretty violently, and i downshift like a **** when i enter a corner, so i can pin it at the apex.

autopartsway.ca has a good selection of parts for general maintenance, the more crucial parts i tend to stay OEM, but they have good prices on struts and stuff, and for free shipping, my parts arrived in two days...the lowest price i found locally for rear struts at NAPA was $140 each, and they would have taken 2 days to order in...so it was a no brainer at $90 a strut.

yeah any time you can coast, or not have the clutch in for extended periods of time is good and should be taken advantage of...i'm no expert, but i'm convinced that duration of use, is worse for the TOB than frequency...so i try not to sit at a red light with the clutch pedal in, other than that it's wear and tear, and inevitably, the tranny will have to come out

IIRC, with the mileage you have on your clutch, even if a bit premature, you might be about due anyways...I thought i remember you saying 50k, but i might be thinking of someone else.

Yeah ive never held the clutch in at lights. I am planning on doing the clutch at least while I'm in there I'm thinking clutchmasters stage 2 Kevlar but I might go for the stg3 segmented also ,I'm not 100% yet.

I have had the gmb water pump for about 5k/6 months with no problems and the conti timing belts as well conti is a very reputable company why the doubt?

ahh good to know. Um as for doubt its more ive never really heard of the company so im just unsure plus with it being such an important part of the car u think a whole kit for 200 where as oem belts are about 100 makes u wonder. but definitely if u want let me know any opinions or issues u have. the more info the better.
thanks
