Question RA Oil Pan and Front Mount questions.

Hey Guys, I just got my 2004 RA a few weeks ago and I'm still fixing it up. After replacing my rear mount, it looks like my oil pan is rotted out and I need a new one. Here are my questions.

RA Oil Pan Part#:
MitsubishiParts.net has it for 148.99 LINK

For a replacement, do I need a gasket?

I'm planning on doing an oil filter at the same time (might as well).
What kind of oil should I use for New England weather?

I looked around at junkyards through car-parts.com and they list the 2004
Mitsubishi Outlander as compatible. Is this for real?

RA Front Mount: MR594455 (EVO part)?

RockAuto.com doesn't list the front mount for the 2004 Lancer RA.
It looks like the EVO 8/9 mount is a perfect fit. Can anyone verify this?

Dealer lists the part for $200~

Edit: change the gasket if you're changing the pan. Part number for front mount Mn184251

the 2.4 l engine in the outlander is the same, its a 4g69 motor. The oil pan might be the same. 5w20 is the manufacturer spec for oil in these cars. Use synthetic oil. Ill find you a part number for the mount.

That part number comes up with a few funny entries.

I was looking at the EVO one from rockauto, RockAuto Link

It looks closest to my stock (broken) motor mount

@lanzerralliart, I see a ton of places that says they're compatible. I'll do a search on here to find that thread.
After some research on my own it looks like the outlander has 2 options for it's engine. 2WD and 4WD. the 2WD looks like the EXACT oil pan (34) where as the 4WD has an upper and lower oil pan(35+36).

@Ralliartize It, sounds cool if I had any time. I've got my hands full with work/school/car.

I don't know much about mechanics and I'm learning on this car.

I was looking at a rubber gasket seen here. Only 7.26, my mechanic buddy said I didn't need one, my guess is he might use something to seal it.

yeah RTV will seal just as good, and out last the pan if it sets properly.

The Outlander oil pan is in 2 parts, and IIRC part of it is aluminium. It will fit the engine, but I can't tell you if it will fit the car.

I bought mine off the dealership for about 190$CND, couldn't find one anywhere else. As Crans said, use RTV gasket silicon, no one makes a gasket for our cars, and if you happen to find one, upon box opening, you will find a tube of RTV gasket silicon.

I used high temp silicon for mine, 2 years later still looks as good as new, though it is not your best option.

For the front mount, any Evo mount will fit. Blox makes a roller stopper that alot of member here have, it's pretty stiff but I love it. I got it from a vendor here, for about 75$ shipped.

Stock oil viscosity is 5W20, but I've been using 5W30 all year round without any problem. I went with Kendall full synthetic and couldn't be happier.

if you look at the diagram it's actually got 2 options for oil pans on the outlander in the same drawing....
part number 34...
OR
part numbers 35 AND 36..

and outlander part #34 sure look alot like part RA part #29 in the drawings...
now if it is different in real life...that's a diffrent story...
i dont know for sure on that one...
