So over the past couple of weeks my ralliart has been making a slight ticking from the engine but everything ran ok. Then the other day it started making an almost metallic clicking noise but still drove. Then I started it again just fine and after a few seconds it died. So I got it towed to my house, and low and behold, it turned on, then shut off again. Now it won't start and tries to turn over but it won't start. I changed the battery and replaced my terminals but it didn't really do anything to help. I think it's either my timing belt or my fuel pump, but I am having difficulty diagnosing it. Please help

 

pull the upper timing cover off, and look at the timing belt while someone cranks the motor(not a lot, just a quick turn of the key) it should move...

 

I'll check that when I get home. But the weird thing to me is that it started after I got it towed. Would that be because fuel was able to go into the engine while it moved, but it won't while it's stationary

 

Any luck with your troubles cause mine is doing pretty much the same thing and Ive had it in my shop all weekend cleaning all the electrical components just in case. It was reading throttle position sensor on the scanner after I went out and bought the part the car still wouldn't start and 3 more codes came up for sensors...
