fyi, my exhaust is no more =( bad accadent. got rear ended and took the exhaust out. I plan on having them make me another after insurance kicks in.

but anyway here are a few vids of my car getting dyno'd. you can hear the exhaust really good at full throttle under load. sounds nice. Enjoy!

run 1
run 2

This looks like a very nice exhaust, looks as nice as the custom catback I made with a friend, although I am curious about one picture...what is up with this mount? I circled it in yellow. I am very interested in getting something like this, I assume they send this with it? Also you said they are making a downpipe....what is the details on that?
Thanks!

yo joeevo8 i believe that is the custom hanger for the muffler if i'm right look at the first page of this thread from blk majik. Blk majik sorry to hear about your car that sucks god i'd want to kill someone if they rear ended me. any news on the downpipe from vrs???? i think i'm gonna go with 2.5 exhaust but with the resonator not installed i'll do the resonator with flange so i can take it off and on whenever i want, i'd like to get the dp also but i don't know if they have it done yet

they def didnt do the downpipe yet. i'll make sure its done right when it gets done, but obviously im in no position to focus on that right now. gimme a few more weeks once life gets back to normal and the care is fixed.

im thinking that the 2 runs from the stock header will go about 1/3 the way down the full downpipe and combine into 1 pipe just before the flexpipe, which will be back as far as possible. I am not sure if 2.5" will be too much for the dp or not /w no or few other power mods. im tempted to try, but im 100% sure 2.25" will give good results. then the highflow cat will be either welded in or dual flanged. not sure yet. the entire thing will be stainless to help reduce heat to the engine. i dont know if they can offer it ceramic coated, but its an idea. you could always coat it on ur own /w the header.

that mount was included. it just bolts onto the sway bar perch bracket.

Stainless realy does nothing to heat, either way the pipe disappates it. Coating is the best way to go, although I prefer to get my coating done if I could. That is fine. I am sure that a 2.25" vs a 2.5" dp would have hardly no difference is power you could feel. When you really think about it a 1/4" of flow will not make much difference. Furthermore where it comes out from the header is what makes the largest difference, if those two connectors equal 2", that is really the most the whole systemm could flow anyways. Exhaust heat as it it gets away from the engine will slow down and therefore needs a larger pipe to get out of, although everything leads up to the header, and that header flange where the DP bolts up.

With that mount, is it something you think you could buy one and send it to me and I would cover your costs, or could I call the shop about it? I really like that solution and it looks better than what I have done. Also is the only other mount for that system coming from the muffler?

The downpipe having an interchangeable testpipe and cat or even a resonator is a good idea. It is good to see you are thinking of alternatives to only having one shop make all the RA parts. I soon to may be looking into some CNC work for the RA. I will come to press with it when I have good results.

I am in NO hurry for any results, you need to take care of your life at this point and it makes no excuse required. It is very COOL that you are being helpful with this.

Also the guy that was supposeieevly making a header for the RA, whatever happened to him!? The Kamikaze seems viable, but its not a solution...they missed the ball on that one.

sorry, i havnt seen this thread active for a while. Thx for the kind words Joe =) just trying to do my part. email them (see the address on their website) asking about the hangers. they will prob hook you up for next to nothing.

Jersy, i called the shop today. all the parts are in and its on the lift being worked on today. I should have it back in a week or so as long as they have time to get it into the painters.

ikpthegame: keep us updated! this should be the 1st one that wasnt fit on the car locally. they may have been taking their time, but they would rather not do it at all than do it half assed
