Should be fairly simple, I've installed tons on other cars, i guess the lancer is the exception. I recently bought a 05 Ralliart. I bought a SRI off ebay a week or so ago. There one I bought was kind of a cheaper one, but I cant figure out how to install it. It came with the filter, the aluminum piping, 2 rubber connectors ( one seems very big), and A black bracket that the filter seems to slide onto. For the life of me I cant figure out where the MAF sensor goes. I figure its somewhere around that black bracket, but nothing seems to make any sense. If anyone has installed one of these and can shed some light please do.

3) if you have installed and SRI before and can't figure out where the Maf sensor goes then you probably got jipped.

 

Im almost 99 percent sure what the problem is, the sri was not made for a ralliart. I have yet to see a sri made for the RA other than rrm's. It was more than likely made for an oz/es/ls. And never buy cheap crap performance parts off ebay, you are only kicking yourself in the a$$.

 

yeah bro you bought on thats for a oz or es or something else cause the one people that make sr is,rrm,aem,and injen(not sure about injen) and thats about it

 

Yeah, I have the RRM SRI, installed myself VERY CLEAR where the MAF goes...

E-bay's bad news, man!!!

Edit: I take that back... E-bays not always bad, I'd just be VERY cautious!!!

 

well Injen/AEM make 2 piece CAI's... where as if you only bolt up the one half it can be an SRI... which kind of makes it nice, during summer you can have the CAI and take a piece off for rain season.

I'd write the Seller back and ask to ship it back as it does not fit... you could also post the auctions website so we could see and tell better... and before you go to buy anything off ebay, make sure the part #'s match up... Ebay sellers will say anything to sell stuff... kinda like some dealers... even if they don't know what they're talking about

 

Another thing it could be was the intake just said RALLIART and LANCER, which led you to assume that it fit a ralliart lancer. Thats ebay for you man, i wouldnt be suprised if they dont take it back.

 

Sounds like a probably with keywords in ebay. I've typed lancer ralliart and got a list of items and in their description it says neon, civic, integra, eclipse, just so when people search for stuff it comes up on the screen. I'd try to send it back.

 

Post up a pic of the intake you bought. We should be able to tell right away if it's for a Ralliart or not.

But AEM's Ralliart SRI is coming out very soon. But since you were saying it's a cheaper one, it's probably not the AEM.
