Question suspension sitting high?

I painted my calipers yesterday and the car was sitting up on a jack for the majority of the day. I didn't have jack stands so I had to move the jack for each wheel and therefore was only able to do one wheel at a time.
Anyway, I noticed that when I was finished, the suspension was sitting noticeably higher than before and after sitting all night, it still seems to be sitting higher than normal. I still haven't driven in yet, but is this simply because the springs were uncoiled all yesterday afternoon because of being on the jack? Has anyone ever experienced this and will the suspension gradually return to it's usual stance?

Perfectly normal. Once you drive it, it'll go back down to where it normally sits.

That's good to hear. Yes they are stock springs and I used the jack just the way the manual says to.

Agreed, perfectly normal until you drive them.

Happens all the time with my Spyder. Your tires are gripping the ground and holding the suspension up.

Make sure you double check the tightness of your lug nuts. When I did my calipers I noticed that the wheels seemed tight after I put them back on, untill I tried to wiggle them. Sometimes it's hard to tell if your wheels are all the way on. About the springs, they will go back down.

After a brief drive, the suspension did go right back to original stance. As for checking the tightness of rims that's good advice, i'll be sure to do that. The dealership had them on so tight I could hardly get the rims off. The front driver side rim was on so tight that it was seized on and I had to use WD40 and give it a few good kicks to get it off.
I wasn't too concerned about the stock rims because I'm getting 17's shipped any day now!!!
I'll be sure to post pics!!!!!
