I´m going to look it up just to be 100% sure, but to my understanding, the MIVEC in 04-06 RAs works only on the intake valves, using the low and mid cam profiles on the left and right (or right and left) intake valve, respectively (below 3500rpm) and the high profile on both valves (above 3500rpm). Also, it doesn´t change timing (just lift and duration), otherwise we would have an electrically adjustable cam sprocket.
