I dremeled the slots out of mine, and put metal mesh behind it, painted the whole thing gloss black and added a ralliart logo to it. Looks bad ***. I should get pictures sometime.

there's a how-to on it. I'm assuming this is what shirobi did to his grilles. If I was sticking with the stock bumper, I would have done this to my grilles, but I'm getting the RRM body kit, so I wont really need them. here's a link to the how to.

Yup, took me all day on a sunday but I got it done. The toughest part is bondoing the little triangular holes. Went a little crazy with the dremel too but got most of it smoothed out. It looks perfect from 5 feet away but if you get close you can see some flaws. Other than that it looks just like an evo grill but has a ralliart logo on it. I got my inspiration from a do it yourself article in the how-to section of the Ralliart forums. It totally changed the front end. I don't know how but it looks really good. Brought the whole front end together.
Nothings worse than those flat black plastic slats in the front of the car. Hated em from day 1.
