Trailer hitch?

Anyone know of a trailer hitch that will fit our cars? I dont want it for a trailer, but for those bike racks that will fit in them. Need some way to transport my bike without taking it all apart. Thanks!

just get a Thule or Yakima roof rack. Both fit our cars. I am putting a Yakima Rack on my car sometime this week for my kayaks. $300 should get you a full rack system. They are removeable also.
(yakima kit Q83 & Q102, Q Towers, 46" Cross bars, 44 Inch Fairing, Bike Rack) I think that is right.... Might wanna look it up first

Yakima makes a number of roof mount bike racks that don't involve removing the front wheel. I had to buy the same thing years ago for my flatland bike, I think the rack was called the anklebiter or something like that, it clamped onto the crank arm and tires, held the bike really well.

get a trunk mounted one, it has hooks that do not scratch your paint that attach to the ends of the trunk next to the windshield and the botton of the rear bumper...you dont need to take anything apart either.

Wink

So, has anybody mounted a trailer hitch (Da'lan, or other), as on the Bageco site linked by AdamRA? I would be using it to tow a motorcycle (on a trailer), so I don't think a trunk or roof mount would work too well!

go the roof rack for sure, i've seen someone with the tow hitch and it kills the look at the back.
for bikes is okay obviously, but when looking at the specs when shopping for mine, "not recommended for towing" was on there

I really wouldn't recommend using the RA for towing... In your instruction book it specifically says not too. I'm not saying anything will happen, but if something does, and you want to be covered under warranty you better remove any traces of a hitch.

I don't think the non-recommendation for towing has to do with engine/drivetrain so much as brakes. Probably assuming we don't have the brakes to handle a heavy towing load.

i can't believe we're actually discussing towing with an RA. hell, an EVO would be more ideal for towing than an RA!
