Wow, you mean I'm not going to feel the same increase in performance w/ 5-10hp as I did w/ a 50hp shot of nitrous?!?!?! Allright Joe... I'm sending it back! If I'm only getting 1 hp per 10 dollars I'm going to buy a.... aw crap I can't buy any other hp for that can I? LOL! Don't feel bad Driv3r, most ppl that say they can feel a 5hp gain have more sensitive butts than those oscar nominated cowboys... If you've noticed the improved "faster" revs, you've noticed the hp gains. Remember that a Dynojet is measureing the TIME it takes to accelerate the drum (the roller that your tires are turning) from one rate or rpm to another. Improving the rate your engine revs improves it's ability to spin that drum ergo more hp as the industry measures it. Besides, faster revs are better on the street than some magic number! I can't wait till it gets warm and the drag strip opens up so I can see some measurable gains (hopefully in the 60' times) from the pulley. I might even hook the nitrous back up with some better solenoids! Oh yeah, as far as 5th gear goes... downshift before you pass, sometimes twice if your going slow enough. Overdrive was never meant to be used for accelerating, it's for fuel savings not performance! If you don't beleive me kick your old schwinn into top gear and go mountain climbing, it's all about the torque baby and lower gears get you there faster.

I see it now: Class Action Lawsuit against me. All the pulleys comng back and I have to pay everyone for their trouble...not a chance!

I am sure your car is fine. RESET the ECU ad give it a few days. Really you should feel the pulley down low with a healthy addition up top.

You pull the negative cable off the battery for about 10-15 minutes, reconnect it and then go drive the hell out of your car so the ECU loads an aggressive map. If you baby it after reset it will go with a less drastic self tune. You know the ECU is always tuning itself right? You gotta love OBD2!

This is why with every mod I install that is bolt on....I start the car and let it idle for about 20 minutes, then go for a short drive. ECU's seem to be slow learners! I have yet to have a problem that way and have not had to reset the ECU ever.

Just a dumb question.....what if you only take off the positive side of terminals instead? Does it make a difference?

No difference, I take the postive off because that negative side is hard to take off on my car.

Sure..... Tell that to the 9 volt battery when you stick you tongue on it to check if it's still got juice. My cousins swear it's shocking them! *They also got together and bought me a battery tester but the eyes don't lie...* It's an academic question between shock and burn anyways, I've been shocked and burned all at the same time trying to plug in a 220v dryer before... Always use a flashlight to find the outlet, don't slide your hand down the wall if your not sure it's 100% plugged in TROZZZ!!!!
