Find the clutch restrictor (or where it *was*) on the front of your transmission. Next to it, toward the driver's side, will be a bolt that says "OIL" on the head. IIRC, it's a 17mm bolt. That's the one you want, NOT the Torx head bolt next to it.

Looks like this:

Almost all manual tranny fill plugs are horizontal. That way, when oil starts to weep out during refill, you know it's full.

No, but like Joe Spingler said, it'll leak a little when refilling to let you know it's full. Have a pan under the hole to catch the little bit that will dribble out. The Synchromesh is nice in that regard, it doesn't stink as bad as regular gear oil, and it flows a bit easier.

Loosen the fill plug before you drain the old oil. It would really suck to drain out the old oil, only to find that the fill plug is stuck.

I use a funnel with a clear plastic extension tube on it that *just* fits in the hole for filling it.

Yeah, you would have to drain out the old oil first. The drain plug is accessible from the driver's side, near the back of the transmission. I'll see if I can get a pic. I was thinking about swapping back to my summer wheels/tires today.

Drain plug is pretty hard to miss. It's pretty big (20+mm?) and at the back driver's side of the tranny.

Took a pic while I was swapping over to my summer wheels. IIRC, the bolt is 24mm.

Don't mind the salt and rust, it's everywhere up here.

I did some digging on GM syncromesh. I wanted to use it in my RA. I am now leaning away from it because it doesnt have a GL rating or a weight on it. Also, 75w90 is thick like warm mollasses, while the syncromesh is more like water. I know some guys are saying that they are having no problems with it yet, but grenading my tranny after more long term use because I used oil that isnt made for our cars, and losing my warranty because of it, is to scary.
If anyone has a away to prove that it meets the GL4 rating and is a sufficient replacment for 75w90, please say so, because I still want to help improve my 1st to 2nd shifts.

Well if you want a better 1-2 shift you don't need syncromesh you need motor mounts or one of the engine dampers currently floating around. That'll help more in my opinion.
