I have a 2005 diamond white pearl ralliart, 5-speed...god i love this car. i haven't done any mods to it yet, it runs like a demon already..but i was reading some posts on a nissan spec v site like this one..man, those dudes HATE ralliarts...apparently someone got beat by one and now that's all they do is slam ralliarts..well i tried to tell them professional road tests from road&track and car&driver etc showed the ralliart to be a bit quicker with more torque from the 2.4 mivec..(let's face it. the dodge srt-4 or whatever it is can beat us all stock..so who cares)...but they booted me..lol...hey i don't HATE spec v's..but i can bury one if i want...anyone else experience this crap?

 

every spec v that I have ever seen has known his role.

 

I would think the SE-R and your car would be a close race.

 

by the way, i saw an episode of top gear or some show hosted by this british dude where he took a stock evo and outran a lamborgini

 

they drive a mexican built nissan. I considered one but the interior quality was worse then the lancer, they have good power and it seems to always come down to a drivers race.

 

fanboys drive all sorts of cars, Evolutions, Ralliarts, Spec-v's, Daewoos, monster trucks. to name a few.. In the end, there's always something faster. its the timeless "my ***** is bigger" argument. ah well.

 

true..most cars in the ralliarts bhp range are pretty equal..it comes down to nerve and who is willing to redline and can work the gears the fastest etc....

 

same in the freakin RSX forums they say it was the worst lancer I quoted him " what are you talking about your car costs 10K more and mine rides better and I have better torque I don't have to wait till V-Tech hits." haha

 

BOTTOM LINE still a boring race!

 

i've never had any prob against the spec v, i've beat a few rsx's without the spray...

 

He didn't outrun it, he bullied it into a spin on a tight corner.

 

Wow I use to have a spec v and i slaughtered ralliarts. Well I worked at a Mitsu dealer and when we got bored we ran one of the new cars with mine. Ralliart is cool needs a diff and better suspension. In a straight line I can take one but I know how to drive a spec v. But with average drivers it is a close race. Take it to the canyon and the V is superior. The diff, 6 speed, and solid rear beam axle (actually makes the car oversteer if you know how to use it) really help it carve. Couldn't do the same in the ralliart. I would really like to see a turbo V vs a turbo ralliart. As far as the hate I only hated honda's

SE-R Vspec are shameful, I had better moments racing against modded 2.0 90-ish SE-R

 

Ive ran a total of 5 specV's, ive only lost to 1 and that was a modded s-tune version, he had nismo suspension, intake, header, exhaust and he took some axel or beam or shaft out ( I have know idea what that is). Ive have a couple vids of me beating a few. Still a very nice car, was my 2nd choice behind my first choice... the ralliart.
