Aighty guys, I dont need a new rear bumper anymore.. I need a new Car
I was on a highway on ramp, it was about a 360 degree turn. I was going 35mph, I was actually following a police man that was about to stop and radar people on the highway.
About 30 feet from the Highway, I heard a very loud metallic snap, much like an aluminum baseball bat hitting a solid metal object. Next I saw my front tire, break, cv shaft, strut, and shock, next to my face. Then i went nearly head on into the wall of the ramp, then I bounced off the wall and stopped 15-20 feet from sliding into highway traffic. I had to kick my door open to get out of the car. I got out and my whole driver side was laying on the ground. My rear strut slammed through into the trunk, or dented through pretty far, both rims on driver side are bent, my stearing wheel was spinning freely in circles, and my engine was laying on the frame.
Its been fun, but it doesnt look like i'll have a ralliart anymore.
Wiretap is taking pics of it tomarrow. He'll post them up.

wtf??? glad ur ok.. but from what u have explained it sounds like someone went and removed all the bolts and welds that were holding the car, i dont understand how that could happen, WTF!? wanna see pics tho
pics will be taken and posted tomarrow. its wierd cuz the entire front suspension was still attached to the tire. I couldn't find the spring though... its somewhere in the mess i think. the top of the strut tower, you know the cup that the spring goes in, was like way back where i heard the noise
Yea.. I saw the aftermath. Its seriously like the classic definition of "wtf?". I'll hopefully be able to get some good pictures of the components that failed. I'm going tomorrow at 8:00am EST to go take pix at the wrecker yard. But, its one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. It looks like the whole suspension, motor mounts, and everything just fell apart at once and got into a big happy thing of tangled spaghetti.
I'm really glad you were not injured. You need to contact Mitsu asap with police report, pictures, everything. They owe you a car, or money for your car. if you have a police witness i'm sure a lawsuit would be a viable possibility.
If you have any law related questions Pm me, I may be able to help. at least with some info if not a referral
