I thought that the VG's came with two tabs on both sides that went underneath the weather strip? If it did...then I wouldn't have thought that it would fly off that easily.

I ordered my vg thru the mitsu dealership...it fit perfectly, they installed it in about 20 min..slipped right over ant' the only thing they had to do was lift the black molding on each side of roof to slip the ends of the vg under it..it is completely secure...take it to a dealer and let them do it..and if it isn't, order the one thru mitsu...should have no problem.

well it was a knock off and the antannae holes didn't line up so i didn't get a chance to put it on and then there was a gap so rain got under it.. it cost me 80 and 20 to paint..

The proper Mitsubishi version wont fly off, its primarily fixed in place by sliding it under the roof trim either side which is a very tight fit, and the tape on it is secondary.

mine was also slipped under the side moldings on the roof, but i think it came off because the tape weakened, but mainly because i didn't have my antannae in to hold it in place.

I think the Mits VG is worth the money - it fits, and the materials are good quality. But you have to prep properly, too.
